Our Baby Apothecary Product line is formulated using gentle botanicals that have proven to soothe, nourish, and relieve dry skin symptoms. Baby skin is extremely thin and permeable. Believe it or not, when born, your little one’s skin is 3-5 times thinner than yours! Their little bodies are more vulnerable to absorbing ingredients from topical products into their systems, so, as parents, we need to be very diligent about what we use.
The truth is, less is more, especially for babies younger than three months of age. Many times, their skin will be dry, bumpy, and flakey. These symptoms happen as their bodies are hydrating and their skin barrier is improving. It’s important not to overdo it when it comes to your baby’s skincare routine.
Another key factor to be aware of is PH. The PH of your baby’s skin is close to neutral; that’s where we want to keep it. Therefore, avoid standard soaps, which are alkaline, and any acidic topical products.
🌿PH- We formulate our shampoo and body bars to be between 5.5-6 for babies to maintain the healthy PH levels their skin & scalp require.
🌿Any baby product that contains pure essential oils is formulated using less than 0.5%. However, please get in touch with your pediatrician if you have any concerns before use.
🌿Our products are 100% plant-based and free of all chemicals you want to avoid (sulfates, parabens, petroleum, PEGS, to name a few).
These beautiful soap-free bars are an excellent choice for those who want a simple, clean, baby cleansing product that does NOT contain plastic, chemical fillers, and stripping agents. Our bars are specially formulated with plant proteins, vitamins, colloidal oats, and oat extracts that help nourish and strengthen the hair & skin. When using our bar, you will experience a luscious, soft, and fluffy lather that is truly beneficial to your little one.
- Thoroughly wet your baby’s skin and hair
- Glide the bar over the skin and scalp and massage to create a rich, creamy, nourishing lather. (This bar can also be applied to a washcloth or other gentle bath linen, lathered, and then applied to your little bundle of joy)
- Rinse your baby clean
- STORE OUT OF DIRECT CONTACT WITH WATER! These bars will last a long time if stored properly and allowed to dry out in between uses
As with any product, always avoid direct contact with the eyes.
Ingredients: 100% Plant-based, biodegradable, surfactant system of Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Coco-Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine & Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (all derived from plant sources. These are NOT sulfates. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is NOT the same as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
